Between April 1999 and February 2000, ACFIC and DIHT have organized a total of 12 workshops with 314 participants for regional chambers on using the national membership database software. The workshops took place in Beijing (2), Guilin (2), Lhasa, Shenyang, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Guiyang, Nanchang, Xi'an and Datong. Primary trainer in all workshops was Li Shanhai of the ACFIC Information Department who had been closely involved with the development of the software. The project's first database workshops had been organized in December 1998.
